Once you prepare your task (on Task editor screen), a box with Logger status will appear bellow all your waypoints. How to connect LX navigation devices with WiFi

Lufty can connect to LX navigation devices via WiFi. In order to do that, you need to go to the device settings and under Network set your device to act like WiFi access point. IP address of a device should be set to: 192.168.1.1., port 2000, mode TCP. If your device does not have WiFi access point function enabled, ask LX navigation for the latest SW version.

How to set-up your iPhone to connect to LX navigation devices over WiFi and still consume internet from mobile carrier

Connecting Lufty to LX navigation devices over WiFi is similar to connecting to your WiFi enabled camera. Since LX navigation device act in this scenario as a WiFi access point but does not provide any internet connection, you still want to keep your data connectivity.

In  order to do that please follow these steps:

  1. Go to “Settings” then “WiFi”
  2. Connect to your WiFi network
  3. Click the Info (i) icon next to your current WiFi network to view network info
  4. Make note of your IP Address
  5. Change “Configure IP” from “Automatic” to “Manual” and enter the IP Address to 192.168.1.1 & port 2000. DO NOT CONFIGURE ROUTER. The “Router” setting should be BLANK/EMPTY!
  6. Save your changes. iOS will show “No Internet Connection” next to your WiFi device. iOS should no longer attempt to connect to Internet through this WiFi network.
  7. The change above will only affect the WiFi network you are currently connected to. If you connect to another WiFi network, your iOS device will try to use that network’s Internet connection unless you repeat these steps.

After you finish these steps, you will be able to declare your planned task to WiFi enabled LX navigation devices.
